Meet the Dale Miller Familty
The Dale Miller Family has been in operation for over
40 years producing superior Yorkshire, Hampshire,
and crossbred seedstock and showpigs. The farm is
located in Central Illinois near Forrest and currently
consists of 175 sows. In addition to offering Yorkshire
and Hampshire breeding stock year around, the Dale
Miller Family produces 150 litters of club pigs each
spring and fall for purchase by 4-H and FFA members.
The Dale Miller Family exhibits breeding stock at
a majority of the national shows as well as consigns
club pigs to select sales in the Midwest and Southwest
in both spring and fall. The Dale Miller Family genetics
are available for purchase at these shows and sales
as well as privately off the farm.
The Dale Miller Family' operation
is run by Ginny Miller with assistance and input from
their three sons, Mike, Matt and Marcus. In addition
to being involved with the family farm, Mike is a
feed consultant and Matt is a certified ultrasound
specialist. Their careers allow them to view the latest
swine genetics available and purchase those that will
continue to increase the level of quality offered
by the Dale Miller Family. Dale's brother, Terry,
is also involved with the operation through Miller
Brothers which has allowed for the addition of elite
Yorkshire females and sires to the operation.
